The City of Virginia Beach is exploring the possibility of developing Rudee Loop, a 10-acre cul-de-sac where Atlantic Avenue ends, bordered by Rudee Inlet to the West and Fourth Street to the North.
The VGF would like to preserve Rudee Loop as a park with green-space, enhanced with amenities you'd like to see, without commercial development. Can you imagine a beautiful park with a skate park, shade structures or a stage and plaza on what is currently a parking lot? Our goal, and the goal of our supporters, is to preserve the vital elements of VB culture, which includes fishing and surfing. We'd like to seize this incredible opportunity to engage private funds to help spearhead this initiative.
